As someone well versed in statistics, I can tell you that a line graph is not really the most appropriate way to represent this kind of data. A line graph is only used for directly sequential data where the slope between each point and the next is actually relevant. In this case, we're looking for trends over time, so a scatter plot would be better. A scatter plot shows each point, but doesn't draw a line between them, and what you look for is a general trend in all the data, aka a regression (see also least squares, trendline etc.).

Point is, please add the option to remove the lines on the graphs and just show dots for the data. If you're feeling extra fancy, you could add the ability to add in a trendline of sorts (like the kinds you can do in Excel).
